Kokeshi dolls have been a part of Japanese folk handicraft for centuries, believed to become prominent in the edo period at the later part of the 17th century.
They were made for a number of reasons, souvenirs, decoration and Childrens toys. During the Edo period they were presented as a guardian to children.

There are many fans of Kokeshi, with some who collect hundreds, even thousands of these dolls each doll is different and special because they are all handmade. You will receive a random design based on the size you have selected. Please email or DM us on instragram if you would like a specific one.
