Our mission at Mimo is to support local artists and small businesses but we know we can do more than that, so here are our Mutual Aid partners. Fundraising accounts for people needing some help, make someone's day by spreading the love (and wealth) around.

"As I am getting older, I have come to the realisation that I cannot put this off any longer. My disphoria has some what taken over my life and I think I owe it to myself to take the plunge. My mental health is also suffering considerably which is therefore making it impossible for me to join the waiting list for the NHS (which is currently at 6 years). Leaving me with no option but to take the private route, which although isn't cheap, means that I will be able to feel comfortable in my body a lot sooner!"

"I am raising funds for gender affirming top surgery. I currently live in Norway where they don't offer gender affirming medical treatment to non-binary people "due to a lack of research". I am therefore looking to go private. The cost of top surgery varies and so do the associated costs (consultation, travel costs, rent and bills, carer, post-surgery binder, etc.). I have saved up some money but it’s not enough, so I am reaching out to friends, family, acquaintances, community members, allies and strangers to ask for help to cover the cost of this procedure."

They've lived through many wars but none like this. They're living under apartheid and relentless bombing with little to no food and water."

Help Wesam Feed His Family and Escape To Safety
"I am a brother, a friend, a student, a community organizer, and I need your support. Before the Gaza War, I was studying at the Islamic University of Gaza and working at the same time to help my family as staff at our local supermarket. Unfortunately, after 10/7 horrors came to us and I lost my dear brother Islam, my job place was bombed and demolished, and my family had to flee to avoid more destruction and death."

We can provide Ahmed's family with a glimmer of hope in these dark times
Ahmed’s family, once settled in a modest three-room home filled with memories, has been uprooted in a moment of chaos. The constant sounds of jets and explosions led them to abandon everything they owned, taking only an old blanket and an empty water bottle as they fled for their lives. Now, they find themselves in a cramped school filled with displaced families, struggling to access the basics such as food, clean water, and warmth.

Rebuild Cat & David’s home after accidental devastating fire
"Hi, I’m Catriona (but everyone calls me Cat) Fletcher and I never thought this would be me but I need to ask the universe for help. An accidental house fire on 23rd May 2024 has devastated my home - it is now uninhabitable. I and my lodger are homeless. 80% of my worldly possessions no longer exist and I have been forced to reach out and ask for help, which does not come easy but I don’t have many options."
