I LIKE CATS Sketchbook zine, Cats and colour part 2

Since 2014 I have filled over 70 sketchbooks with drawings, paintings, collages, ink sketches and assemblages; every page featuring cats. Although some sketches have gone on to become full illustrations used for prints or other products, most of them haven't been used and haven't really been seen except for when I've shared them on social media.

I thought it was about time to start collating them into books, and this is now the fourth one; Cats + Colour Part 1. I've been busy scanning pages from my sketchbooks, before curating it into this book. The drawings are in all kinds of mediums, from paint and ink to oil pastel and pencil. They span the last ten years, from 2014-2024. I hope you enjoy looking through and seeing where some of the inspiration comes from for my illustrations! The theme of this book is as the title suggests - colour! It documents my use of colour, whether its bold and expressive or abstract and surreal.

With over 50 full colour pages, the book is A6 in size and has been professionally printed on uncoated paper with a stapled spine. The print has come out so well and I'm really happy with how it shows all the vivid colours of my drawings. There's almost 50 scanned pages plus some new digital illustrations that I created after being inspired looking through all of my sketchbooks.
