"Mimo" - A Portuguese word for a 'special treat', a little gift for yourself or a loved one, pamper yourself with too many 'mimos' and you'll be 'mimada/ mimado' (spoiled). Also a tender caress, gesture of affection, a delight.

All our orders have a minimum of 3 days processing time (please be patient, we're only human and our shop is ran by our lovely artists ☻)
ATTENTION: THE STARTING TIME FOR THIS WORKSHOP HAS CHANGED TO 5PM.
In this workshop, tutor Maya Doyle of @uschie.uk, will guide you in a step-by-step wall shrine making class.
Design your shrine and bring it to life during this 3 hour workshop. We will have a variety of examples to help you gather inspiration during your build!
Wall shrines are the perfect piece to hold your precious little trinkets, display something you love, house a candle or just make your walls look pretty! Wall shrines = pretty ceramic shelves!

On The Day:
Introduction to ceramics.
Designing your piece.
Creating your form.
Smoothing and finalising the shape.
Painting & decorating.
Cleaning.
What Happens Next?
Your piece will dry slowly for 1 or 2 weeks.
We will do a bisque/ first fire (950C - 48hrs).
We will then dip your pieces in a clear, glossy glaze (1150C - 48hrs).
Time to collect your pieces from Mimo!! (please wait for your email confirming that your pot is ready).
Good To Know:
All skills welcome / Beginner friendly.
Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
Small, intimate workshop with a maximum of 5 people.
Children under the age of 16 will need parental supervision (with both tickets paid).
BYOB
This is not a wheel throwing class.
No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. You can transfer your ticket to a different workshop or your ticket amount will be donated to charity.
