This print utilizes Chine-collé (pronounced sheen-col-lay)—a printmaking method where shapes are hand-cut from thin paper and pressed onto a thicker background. The bold lines are then printed right over the top using a heavy printing press. The artwork showcases an abundant arrangement of illustrated produce, including textured cauliflowers, a leafy green cabbage head, three slender carrots, a vine of cherry tomatoes, a head of broccoli, whole onions, and a bundle of fresh asparagus stalks spear-headed over a blue-and-white diagonal striped pattern at the base.
